James W. Barge Chief Financial Officer

James W. “Jimmy” Barge was named Chief Financial Officer of Lionsgate, a premier next generation global content leader, in October 2013.  He has oversight of all financial operations, planning and strategy and is a member of the Company’s senior management team, reporting to Chief Executive Officer Jon Feltheimer.

Mr. Barge previously served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Viacom Inc. from 2010-2012 and Executive Vice President, Controller, Tax & Treasury, from 2008-2010.  While at Viacom, he was responsible for overseeing all aspects of the company’s global finances and capital structure.

Prior to joining Viacom, Mr. Barge had a13-year tenure at Time Warner, ultimately serving as Time Warner Senior Vice President, Controller and Chief Accounting Officer.  In this capacity, he was responsible for Time Warner’s overall financial planning, reporting and analysis.  Before joining Time Warner, Mr. Barge served with Ernst & Young in Los Angeles, where he was the Area Industry Leader of the Consumer Products Group and a Regional Partner.

Mr. Barge is a Director, Chair of the Nominating and Governance Committee and Audit Committee member of Scholastic Corporation, the world’s largest publisher and distributor of children’s books.  He is a member of the Advisory Council for The SEC Institute, a Distinguished Practitioner Lecturer for the Terry College of Business at the University of Georgia and a member of the University of Georgia Alumni Board.
